imageReiki is a natural healing modality originating in Tibet. The name "Reiki" (ray-key) comes from the technique as re-discovered by Dr. Mikao Usui, a Japanese Buddhist in the early 20th century. "Re" means "Universal" and is a general term for spirit or unseen spiritual quality, which serves as a channel for "Ki" or "Life Force Energy" (e.g., God, Buddha, Chi, Qi, Prana, Love Energy). This healing is an all-encompassing cosmic energy from which all other energies in the universe draw their  healing power. Everything in the Universe is created from energy, and this force is what we access as a practitioner to channel healing through our crown chakra, heart center and hands.

Reiki is a non-invasive healing system that works with the Higher Self of the receiver to promote health and well being on the physical and emotional level.  Reiki is a  system of attaining and promoting Mind, Body and Spirit wholeness. If you are feeling tired, exhausted or physically unbalanced, Reiki would be an excellent option to provide internal balance.

Stress reduction and relaxation are one of the greatest Reiki healing health benefits. Reiki healing is a natural therapy that gently balances life energies and improves the recipient's health and well being.

Sessions

Sessions are provided in a dimly lit room while lying on your back. You remain fully clothed and I suggest wearing comfortable clothing.

After each session, you will feel relaxed and lighter. I believe this lightness occurs at a physical and emotional level and, if possible, the individual should relax the rest of the day.

As with all healing modalities, treatment is dependent on an individual's spiritual journey. In the beginning, body treatments should be received at least once a week for four weeks. We will then reassess how you are feeling.

The question you need to ask yourself is, do I feel in control of my life physically and emotionally?  Do I feel energized? Do I feel as though I am in control of the direction my life is taking me? It is all about how you are coping within your environment.
